Currently there are 301 Members of the House of Commons who are the lifeblood of the parliamentary system. Members of Parliament play active roles in making our laws. They debate, analyse, and amend bills on a wide variety of issues. And they play active roles in the standing committees, as well as the legislative and special committees of the House of Commons and Senate.
